DanielDrezner.com is huge in India!! HUGE!!

My favorite part of the movie Singles -- one of Cameron Crowe's lesser works -- is when Matt Dillion tries to console himself at his band's poor reputation in the Seattle music scene by repeating the mantra, "We're huge in Belgium!!"

Well, now I get to say, "I'm huge in India!!"

The Indian Express -- which I'm told is the third-largest paper in India -- has reprinted this post on Mahathir Mohammed that became a Tech Central Station column.

Woo-hoo!!

[So, to carry the Singles analogy to its logical conclusion, does this mean you have a poor reputation in the blogosphere?--ed. I don't think so. I just love the "We're huge in Belgium" line.]

While you're at it, you might want to mention Spinal Tap's incredible popularity in Japan.

I was thinking of the same thing, George. "Big in Japan" was already a cliche in the 8os when Alphaville wrote a song about it.

Isn’t the Internet great? Only a few years ago, it would have likely taken a newspaper in India a few weeks before hearing about Dan’s article. By that time, it would have been old news. The Internet unfortunately is also available to the David Dukes:

Still, at the end of the day the forces of good will reign supreme. I am very confident that we have the upper hand.

Apparently from news reports Gwyeneth Paltrow is a top of the music charts vocalist - in Australia. There she has at least one single out that went all the way. Well, since all the good jobs are migrating toward India anyway right now maybe it's not such a bad thing to be appreciated by them. That way, you'll have a decent following if the US economy wallows and belly flops for the next decade or so. This could be a whole new career for you Dan.
